Sciatica is problem related to compression or impingement of a nerve at the spinal nerve root. The pain from sciatica is usually felt in the lower back, buttock, and down into the leg and foot. There may be some numbness, muscular weakness, pins and needles as well as some difficulty in controlling the movement of the leg.
